Lee Saxby is at the forefront of applied barefoot science. He has been coaching movement for 20 years and has spent the last 10 years coaching barefoot technique to help runners overcome injury and increase performance. Lee will be joined by his carefully chosen team of instructors within Scandinavia – Movement Health.

Lee’s coaching method defies conventional wisdom but is deeply rooted in the scientific principles of biomechanics and evolutionary biology. Lee Saxby understands barefoot running and natural locomotion better than anyone else.

He is considered by many as one of the best in his field, and has been described as “The World’s Best Running Coach” by Christopher McDougall, Author of the international bestseller, Born to Run, and by Harvard Professor, Daniel Lieberman as “Exceptional”. The coaching drills he uses are based on a deep understanding of the biomechanics of movement and his extensive practical experience with athletes of all abilities from beginner to elite levels.

He has a BSc (honours) in Sport Science, with a Major in Biomechanics; and Post-grad Education Gait Analysis and Sports Rehabilitation. Whether you want to run barefoot, in minimal shoes, or in cushioned running shoes, it pays to heed Lee’s advice. He is an adviser to Natural Running Centre (UK) and the Vivobarefoot Company. All Certified Vivobarefoot Coaches are personally instructed by Lee Saxby to diagnose and correct running form using his coaching methods.

Day 1

  • Arrival at Rovaniemi airport (Finland)
  • Transfer to Summer Boot Camp
  • Dinner at SBC Lodge Resto
  • Interaction with team and evening discussion about the week

Days 2-6

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner
  • Training sessions will last between 2-5 hours each day
  • A detailed training schedule will come prior to arrival at camp
