Body On Boot Camp

Dates

13th – 20th August 2017

The gym of the future!

This week is for the camper who wishes to try something a little more controversial. BodyOn uses EMS technology – electromyostimulation, where you use a very low current of electricity to create muscle activation, at the same time as you exercise. The method, which used to be devised solely for professional athletes, are today available for the general public and reaches more than 300 muscles in your body, even the really deep ones who normally are hard to target.

BodyOn In ActionWhen training – all of the muscles are activated at the same, unlike the traditional training that solely activates one muscle group in each exercise routine (eg. muscles of the arms and legs at the same time). This co-ordinated activation also causes the activation of the agonistic and antagonistic muscles, achieving a more efficient workout therefore being able to exercise at the same time, for example, triceps and biceps.

One session lasts for exactly 20 minutes and a BodyOn trainer is with you at all times, adjusting and tailoring the currents to your different muscle groups and guiding you through the different exercises. This is equivalent to 90 minutes of traditional training and should therefore be carried out approximately three times per week. The electro-stimulator machine will be adjusted to suite individual guests when it comes to intensity, duration and frequency.

To complement the BodyOn electro training, boot camp guests will take part in other regular exercises, which includes functional training, core and strength building and cardio. These training passes will take place mainly outside, but the gym area inside will also be utilised.

The cardio section of this week will also include the chance of guests learning how to play paddle – on Scandinavian Boot Camp’s brand new paddle court. Paddle is one of Sweden’s largest growing sports and is a mix of tennis and squash. It is a fantastic way of exercise as it combines strength and cardio on the soft surface of the court. It is also a great way of socialising and team building. A qualified paddle trainer will teach you all the technics and instructions necessary and create challenges for the training guests.
