Yoga in general has become very popular in the last few decades and what used to be practiced by the more alternative person, is today something that is enjoyed by many.

At Scandinavian Boot Camp we want to offer our guests a more unique style of yoga. Known for its use of rhythmic movements, (often to the sounds of drums) which aids in heating up the body. Adequate natural body heat and energy generation minimises the risks of injury or strain when doing static postures.

There is an emphasis of elemental body awareness, breathing and the development of flexibility, mobility strength, and endurance through different dance moves and postures.

Afrikan Yoga is a fun and fluid form of yoga that will bring you back to your core and reconnect you with the Source.

Afrikan Yoga has 9 main disciplines:

  1. Smai – science of the breath
  2. Proper exercise
  3. Nutrition
  4. Restraint
  5. Relaxation
  6. Steadying of the mind or meditation
  7. Hika Mantra
  8. Visualisation
  9. Transformation

This form of Ancient Egyptian Yoga, focuses on energy development and emotional cleansing of the physical and emotional body through the development of movement and postures.

During this week, there will be several yoga classes available, held in smaller groups in the camps own indoor gym/studio area or outside in the open Lapland air. There will also be times allocated for lectures and talks about the yoga philosophy.

Pablo Menfesawe-Imani is the founder of Afrikan Yoga and is the person who will hold all of the yoga classes at the boot camp. He is also an author, massage therapist, holistic health and wellbeing consultant and balanced health practitioner trained in Kinesiology.

Pablo’s lineage comes from various masters in Health, African science, cosmology, and martial sciences.

Day 1

  • Arrival at Rovaniemi airport (Finland)
  • Transfer to Boot Camp
  • Dinner at SBC Lodge Resto

Days 2-6

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner
  • 3 Yoga sessions per day (more if required)

Day 7

  • Breakfast
  • Check out latest 11.00 and transfer to airport

From €1,000 per person based on four persons sharing a Group room. From €1,800 per person based on two people sharing a Double/Twin room. Price includes accommodation, meals and training.
